people all over the world... join hands... start a love train...

for the last several months, i've been wanting to create a "soundtrack of my life," complete with songs that are meaningful to me or songs that mark my life... the thought is overwhelming... a few weeks ago, i saw a new idea - the soundtrack of my life (as a movie)... so last night, i was bored and decided to give it a try... so, i have a preliminary soundtrack of my life as a movie... i think i need to make some changes... i've been listening to it at work today so that i can decide if i like it or not...

opening credits: rockin' robin - jackson 5
waking up: manic monday - the bangles
average day: best imitation of myself - ben folds five
first date: i want you to want me - cheap trick
falling in love: such great heights - the postal service
love scene: let's get it on - marvin gaye
fight scene: we're not gonna take it - twisted sister
breaking up: i want to break free - queen
getting back together: collide (acoustic version) - howie day
secret love: mix tape - butch walker
life's okay: 2 of a kind - garth brooks
mental breakdown: let go - frou frou
driving: carolina in my mind - james taylor
learning a lesson: winding road - bonnie somerville
deep thought: in the waiting line - zero 7
flashback: green apples - chantal kreviazuk
dancing: whip it - devo
partying: love train - the o'jays
regretting: kate - ben folds five
long night alone: fire and rain - james taylor
death scene: song for the asking - simon and garfunkel
closing credits: digee dime - burlap to cashmere

i feel like there should be some rascal flatts somewhere, maybe some dixie chicks... i think it's obvious that i've been listening to "best mix tape i had" and garden state soundtrack a lot... but i guess that's okay... i've got a good first attempt...
